The Greater Hexagram Ritual
… a little “how to” diagram for invoking and banishing planets.
To invoke a planet - trace its shape in the center and then make a hexagram around it, starting at the point that matches the planet and moving clockwise to make a triangle. Then start at the opposite point for the opposite triangle and move clockwise again to complete that triangle.
To banish a planet the process is the same, except the triangles are traced counter clockwise.
This diagram shows you where to start and which direction to go, using the colors of the rainbow. Begin with red and move to orange, then yellow, green, blue, purple… in rainbow order. The white side covers invoking, while the black side is for banishing.
To invoke or banish the Sun, you must do the invoking or banishing hexagrams for all the other 6 planets.
This diagram explains the Greater Hexagram Ritual in a basic sense. The specific method of calling God names or proper opening / closing practices are not covered in this image, but can be learned through a more careful study of Golden Dawn magical rituals. Or through your own intuitive predilections.
